Employee Benefits


HANO employees are provided with a competitive salary and are eligible to participate in a comprehensive benefits package to include:

Compensation
HANO offers a competitive salary based upon a compensation grade and step scale.

Medical
A choice of five different medical plans provided by the Office of Group Benefits (OGB).

Dental
A choice of three dental plans provided by Cigna Dental.

Vision
A choice of two vision plans provided by Superior Vision.

Defined Contribution Plan
A defined contribution plan (required participation after one year of employment) with HANO contributing 8% of the employee’s annual income into the plan if the employee contributes 3%. Also, employees may participate in the Louisiana State Deferred Compensation Plan on a pre-tax basis.

Life Insurance
Employees can participate, at no cost, to two Term Life policies: a Basic Life ($5,000) policy immediately, provided by UNUM, and a Basic Life ($20,000) policy after one year of employment, provided by MetLife. Employees may also enroll in Basic Life ($5,000), and Basic & Supplemental Life (up to $50,000), with 50% of the monthly premium paid by HANO, provided by OGB/Prudential. Basic Life spousal and dependent children insurance is also available.

EAP
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for behavioral health issues.

Paid Time Off
A generous Paid Time Off (PTO) policy, based on years of service, with a maximum accrual of 480 hours.

Holidays
16 paid holidays per year.
